Dubai:
Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi group on Thursday stated its forces had launched 12 ballistic missiles and drones towards a internet site belonging to the Saudi state oil business Saudi Aramco, Najran airport and other targets in Najran, in southern Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi-led coalition fighting Houthi forces in Yemen stated it had intercepted and destroyed eight drones and 3 ballistic missiles fired towards Saudi Arabia, without the need of specifying exactly where.
Thursday is the Muslim vacation of Eid al-Fitr, marking the finish of the fasting month of Ramadan.
The Houthi group routinely fires drones and missiles into Saudi Arabia.
The coalition says it intercepts most of them.The Saudi-led military coalition intervened in Yemen in 2015, backing government forces fighting the Houthis. Aramco did not promptly respond to a request for comment.
