More than 80 private COVID-19 travel testing providers are getting issued a two-strike warning from Monday that they could be removed from the official government-authorized list for misleading costs if they fail to rectify discrepancies.
UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid mentioned his division carried out a “rapid review” of the pricing and service requirements supplied by authorized testing providers of the mandatory day two and day eight test, expected by all international passengers getting into Britain such as from India.
Of the providers listed on the official GOV.UK platform, 82 providers – producing up about 18 per cent listed – had been identified as displaying reduced costs than are readily available on their personal web site at the point of checkout.
