Dubai:
The UAE’s “Hope” probe sent back its 1st image of Mars, the national space agency stated Sunday, days following the spacecraft effectively entered the Red Planet’s orbit.
The image “captured the largest volcano in the solar system, Olympus Mons, emerging into the early morning sunlight,” it stated in a statement.
The image was taken from an altitude of 24,700 kilometres (15,300 miles) above the Martian surface on Wednesday, a day following the probe entered Mars’ orbit, it stated in a statement.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, UAE prime minister and Dubai’s ruler, shared the coloured image on Twitter.
“The first picture of Mars captured by the first-ever Arab probe in history,” he wrote.
The mission is created to reveal the secrets of Martian climate, but the UAE also desires it to serve as an inspiration for the region’s youth.
Hope became the 1st of 3 spacecraft to arrive at the Red Planet this month following China and the US also launched missions in July, taking benefit of a period when the Earth and Mars are nearest.
The UAE’s venture is also timed to mark the 50th anniversary of the unification of the nation’s seven emirates.
“Hope” will orbit the Red Planet for at least one Martian year, or 687 days, making use of 3 scientific instruments to monitor the Martian atmosphere.
It is anticipated to commence transmitting more details back to Earth in September 2021, with the information obtainable for scientists about the globe to study.

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and
was curious what all is needed to get setup?
I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very internet smart so I’m not 100% certain. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Appreciate it
