Balenciaga has performed the unthinkable – place heels on the world’s most comfy footwear. While Crocs might not score higher on the glam aspect, these foam clogs have amassed a huge and faithful fan following for the comfort they provide. Now, Paris-based luxury organization Balenciaga has revealed a higher-heel version of Crocs’s well-known clogs – but the Internet is far from impressed.
The footwear debuted as element of Balenciaga’s spring 2022 collection, even though, as per CNN, they are nevertheless not offered to obtain. The news outlet reported that the Crocs stilettos could sell for as substantially as $1,000 – or roughly Rs 73,000 for a pair.

The higher-heeled clogs mark Balenciaga’s second collaboration with Crocs. In 2017, Balenciaga’s inventive director Demna Gvasalia had also introduced platform Crocs.
“It’s a very innovative shoe,” Mr Gvasalia told Vogue about the initial collaboration. “It’s light, it’s a one-piece foam mold and to me, these kinds of techniques and working with these kinds of materials is very Balenciaga.”
This is not the initial time Balenciaga has grabbed eyeballs by reinventing well-known mass-market place merchandise. In 2017, they released a $3,500 bag that reminded numerous of these humble plastic bags we all shop our thick winter blankets in.
