Ankara:
Turkey’s Competition Board stated on Wednesday it had fined Google more than 296 million lira ($36.65 million) for abusing its dominant position in the search engine services region.
In a statement, it stated Google had offered benefits to its personal accommodation value comparison and its neighborhood search services more than their competitors.
In addition to the fine, it stated Google have to guarantee inside six months that competitors are not disadvantaged and it has report to the board just about every year for 5 years about the problem.
