Sidharth Malhotra has bagged some intriguing projects for the year but now it appears that the actor is backing out from one particular of them. Reportedly, it has been discovered that Sidharth, who was supposed to star in Murad Khetani and Bhushan Kumar’s Thadam remake has opted himself out of the film. The remake was announced final year and Mrunal Thakur was roped in to play the female lead.
As per the reports, Sidharth backed out due to some script challenges as he was not happy with the writing despite the fact that earlier he was excited about the remake. The Hindi dubbed version of the original film is currently accessible on Youtube and Sidharth wanted a thing unique to maintain on the suspense. The actor was unable to be at peace with what came as the final script and chose to quit.
Vardhan Ketker, who assisted in some well-liked films like Mubarakan, Brothers, and Kapoor & Sons was mentioned to make his directorial debut with the Thadam remake exactly where Sidharth was supposed to play a double part of a businessman and a smaller town thief. The shooting of the film was planned for May with the release in November 2020.
Talking about Sidharth’s other films, Sidharth not too long ago announced the spy thriller titled Mission Majnu exactly where he will be noticed playing a RAW agent and Rashmika Mandanna has been locked in to play the lead actress. Well, not only this, but the actor will also be noticed in Shershaah, a biographical war action film directed by Vishnuvardhan. The film is primarily based on the life journey of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra.
