Earth’s two instant neighbours Mars and Venus will come closest to every other next week. The celestial occasion is referred to as planetary conjunction. The occasion will be simply visible with the naked eye. Planetary conjunction requires location when two planets seem to have come closer, whilst in reality they stay far away.
The most up-to-date occasion will take location on July 13 when Venus and Mars will come inside just .5 degrees of every other. The phenomenon will be visible the horizon below a clear sky quickly following sunset or in the western sky. The conjunction will also consist of the moon drawing close, inside 4 degrees of the two planets, on July 12 and make a triple conjunction.
While the two planets on either side of the Earth’s orbit will seem to be closest on July 13, the occasion has currently begun with the two getting virtually, coupled with crescent moon. Observations from July 13 will also reveal the two planets moving away from every other. This will also mark the initially of 3 planetary conjunctions amongst Venus and Mars with just eight months. Similar sights are most likely on February 12 and March 12 next year.
The Pune-based Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics and the Indian Institute of Astrophysics in Bengaluru have invited photographs of the occasion. The institutes will pick the greatest of these amongst all entrants and then publish them.
