Northern Ireland on Wednesday confirmed a constructive test for the very infectious variant of the coronavirus that has emerged in Britain.
Northern Ireland’s Department of Health stated in a statement that the variant is most likely to have been present in the British-run area for a period of time.
There was no proof to recommend the variant causes more really serious illness or a greater mortality price or that it impacts vaccines and remedies, it added.
