Malaysian wellness authorities on Monday stated the vaccine created by AstraZeneca is secure for use, 3 days soon after the Southeast Asian nation received its initially batch of the shots purchased by way of the worldwide COVAX facility.

“I confirm the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca is safe, and it will be administered to those aged 60 years and older,” Health Minister Adham Baba stated in a televised news conference.
Malaysia received its initially shipment of practically 270,000 doses of AstraZeneca’s vaccine on Friday.
Ministry officials stated the vaccine was discovered to be “suitable for use” for these aged 60 and older, and have been searching into the offered information prior to approving it for use for other age groups.
Malaysia secured a total of 12.8 million doses from AstraZeneca, half of which will come through the COVAX facility. It was slated to get the initially 600,000 doses in June.
