U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday accused Beijing of continuing to “coerce” and “intimidate” in the South China Sea and pledged that Washington would pursue a free of charge and open Indo Pacific.
Her comments came in the course of a trip to Singapore.
Harris will also stop by Vietnam on her trip to Asia, exactly where U.S. officials aim to reaffirm Washington’s commitment to the area and address issues about China’s claims to disputed components of the South China Sea.
