The Noida Greenfield International Airport is becoming created in 4 phases. The Jewar Airport is billed to be the largest when totally created with 5 or six runways spread in an location of 5,000 hectares, according to officials. While the industrial operations from the Jewar airport are anticipated to start by December 2023 or January 2024, the officials stated. The airport in Jewar is becoming created by Swiss-developer Zurich International Airport AG at an estimated expense of Rs 29,560 crore, the officials added.

The upcoming Jewar Airport project’s improvement will be monitored by the Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), a nodal agency floated by the state government of Uttar Pradesh. On December 18, the airport’s name, style, and logo had been authorized by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. In the initially phase, the airport will have two runways and will have a capacity for handling 12 million passengers per annum. Once the complete project is completed, the airport will boast 5 runways and a capacity for handling 70 million passengers per annum.
