Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft, speaking at the 93rd FICCI AGM emphasised on the part of AI in the recovery journey in the post-Covid planet. Talking in a fireside chat with Sangita Reddy, president, FICCI, Nadella stated, “AI and other digital technologies have ensured productivity and mission critical activities during the pandemic.”
“So many small businesses were able to survive because of AI and adoption of digital technology,” he added. Nadella described that key technologies disruptions in finance, healthcare and education will continue to go on in the post-Covid planet and will be adopted at scale. “Digital transformation will no longer be an optional topic in board rooms. That is the kind of structural change we are seeing,” exclaimed Nadella.
Nadella pointed out the innovation in India’s digital infrastructure, information capabilities in business enterprise and enhancing user experiences with individual computing devices like mobile phones as the 3 primary significant layers in navigating the new digital planet and the exponential development they bring with them. “India is a case study for profound change in modernisation,” stated Nadella. According to him, India has transformed the public infrastructure digitally and has formed suitable public-private partnerships. “These are the key to bring in more public participation in developing economies. This will also make the processes more inclusive,” he stated.
“We want to create technology that other organisations will use to create more technologies,” stated Nadella, speaking about sustaining the good results streak in the post covid. He described that a sense of goal, mission and a culture of finding out are the two essential pillars that will assist any business enterprise in increasing up from the influence of the pandemic. “Since 1975, we have not compromised on the culture of learning at Microsoft. We will continue the same culture when the pandemic is behind us,” he added. According to him, these two pillars will allow all other approaches in selecting talent, tech and other elements of business enterprise.
