Ahead of the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson pay a visit to subsequent month, foreign secretary Dominic Raab of that nation arrives on a 4 day pay a visit to in New Delhi today.
Besides obtaining talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on bilateral, regional, and international concerns of mutual interest, he will also be meeting with other ministers in the city.

Both sides will hold discussions on bilateral, regional, and international concerns. Also, the goal of the 4-day pay a visit to is to aid in paving the way for deepening of the partnership among India and the UK in several fields which includes defence, climate, trade, education, overall health, migration and mobility, in the post-Covid, post-Brexit context.
According to a statement released ahead of the pay a visit to, the Ministry of External Affairs says, “He will also be having meetings with the Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Prakash Javadekar, and the Minister of Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal.”
From New Delhi, on December 17, Mr Raab, is going to travel to Bengaluru and is scheduled to have a meeting with the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.
India & the UK
Both the nations are enjoying a strategic partnership because 2004, and more than the years there have been developing cooperation in diverse places which includes defence and there have been standard higher-level exchanges as well.
India and the UK are also preparing to ink a Defence Logistics Agreement, and a Defence Training MoU. The drafts of each are in the final stages and could be inked when Prime Minister Johnson comes subsequent month.
The UK has been keen on deepening Defence Relations with India and in this context in 2019 each sides had inked the Defence Technology and Industrial Capability Cooperation (DTICC) MoU. Both sides are currently engaged in standard education and workouts and two corporations have also began investing the UP Defence Industrial Corridor.
