The US has advised its citizens to stay away from travelling to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and the Maldives due to the sudden surge in COVID-19 situations in the area.
In a series of travel advisories on Thursday, the authorities also urged Americans to reconsider travel to China and Nepal workout improved caution although travelling to Sri Lanka and workout regular travel precaution to Bhutan, which has been provided Level 1, the safest level for travelling overseas.

Terrorists have targeted US diplomats and diplomatic facilities in the past,” it stated.
Terrorist attacks continue to take place across Pakistan, with most occurring in Balochistan and KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), such as the former FATA (The Federally Administered Tribal Areas).

In its advisory on Afghanistan, the State Department asked its citizens not to travel to Afghanistan due to COVID-19, crime, terrorism, civil unrest, kidnapping, and armed conflict.
