The BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday hinted that significant gatherings and crowding in public locations and at clubs, hotels, pubs and permit rooms will be prohibited to include the spread of coronavirus.
The civic body also indicated that there will be curbs on holding gala events in particular parties and get-collectively or public concerts as crowding may well lead to a spurt in infection and a rise in the quantity of Covid-19 situations.
BMC Additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani told the TheSpuzz, “Even although the quantity of coronavirus situations and deaths are lowering in Mumbai, the virus nevertheless exists, and all the required precautions require to be taken to prevent a spurt in infection. BMC will meet on December 20 and place in location suggestions for the 31st December celebrations.’’
He mentioned the citizens will have to strictly stick to social distancing, put on masks and use sanitizers but they will have to prevent gathering in significant numbers.
Another civic body officer mentioned BMC will place restrictions on organising parties and dinners at hotels, clubs, permit rooms, and pubs. “BMC has currently began taking action against hotels and pubs who are flouting the security suggestions issued by it and the government when permitting them to reopen their operations. They may well be permitted low-important celebrations when events at the roadsides or on the open spaces will not be permitted,’’ he mentioned.
Further, BMC may well permit little gatherings at private locations but the participants will have to stick to social distancing, put on face masks and use sanitizer. The officer recalled that religious events like Ganapati, Eid, Navratri, and Diwali have been celebrated in a basic manner with out crowding.
