At least 16 persons have died, when 22 are nevertheless missing due to flooding and landslide incidents in Nepal because Sunday, as monsoon rain battered the Himalayan nation.

As per the ministry, Sindhupalchok and Manang Districts have recorded harm in terms of lives and structures. Till Saturday morning, Lamjung, Myagdi, Mustang, Manang, Palpa, Kalikot, Jumla, Dailekh, Bajura and Bajhang along with Sindhupalchok districts had been the most impacted locations due to floods and landslide.
Landslides and floods kill hundreds in Nepal just about every year for the duration of the monsoon.

Issuing a press statement on Friday evening, the District Administration Office (DAO) of Dolakha stated, “Landslide after a heavy rain at Rongxia city of Tingri Country in Nepal-China border point has blocked the flow of the river and it is likely to witness a flash flood in Tamakoshi River at any time.”
Heavy rains at Rongxia city at Nepal-China border point have triggered fears of fresh landslide and flash flood in the Tamakoshi River.
The DAO has also urged persons living along the Tamakoshi riverbank and Nepal-China border location to keep alert and move to larger ground.
