In January this year, messaging platform WhatsApp announced an update that will let the organization to share some information with Facebook and its units, top to big backlash from people today across nations which includes India. In an earlier statement released by the organization, it had stated that the modifications only involved users’ interactions created with enterprises. The organization added that it aims to guard people’s private conversations with finish-to-finish encryption and neither WhatsApp nor Facebook can have access to these private messages. WhatsApp claims that it does not retain logs of people today contacting or messaging other people and it also can’t access shared areas and other such information and facts. “We don’t share your contacts with Facebook,” the organization had stated in January.
