We have informed the police that it is for the government to ensure that it should be peaceful,” Mr Rajewal mentioned.The government’s negotiations with protesting farm unions hit a roadblock today as protesting unions stuck to their demands for a full repeal of 3 farm laws, even immediately after the Centre asked them to reconsider its proposal for placing the Acts on hold for 12-18 months.Unlike the final 10 rounds of talks, the 11th round could not attain a choice on the next date for the meeting as the government also hardened its position saying it is prepared to meet once again after the unions agree to go over the suspension proposal.Union leaders mentioned they will intensify their agitation though maintaining it peaceful.Thousands of farmers, mainly from Punjab and Haryana, have been camping at many Delhi border points given that November 28, demanding a repeal of 3 farm laws and a legal assure on minimum assistance price tag for their crops.
