London: Volkswagen Group has unveiled the 1st glimpse of the prototypes of its mobile charging robot that can be utilised for completely autonomous charging of cars in restricted parking regions, like underground garages.
The charging robot — began by means of an app or Car-to-X communication — operates autonomously. It independently steers to the car to be charged and communicates with it: from opening the charging socket flap to connecting the plug and decoupling it.
