Honor launched the Honor V40 5G, its initially phone following separating from Huawei, lately. The phone comes with Dimensity 1000+ chipset, 50 MP camera, and 66W rapid charging. Sadly, it is based on Android 10, and mainly because the phone is exclusive to China for now, definitely there are no Google services onboard.
Honor is recognized to launch its V-series phones internationally even though but its close Huawei connection meant, its final couple of phones did not ship with Google apps and services outdoors of China leaving them with a significant disadvantage. But items could alter now as Honor CEO, George Zhao has confirmed (by means of South China Morning Post) that the business is in talks with Google to bring back Google apps and services to future Honor phones.
Honor has currently officially confirmed its ‘renewed’ partnership with crucial US firms which includes Qualcomm, Intel, AMD and Microsoft but it has remained tight-lipped about an association with Google which would be ‘key’ if it is taking into consideration an overseas comeback and in the words of Zhao himself, arranging to “make flagship phones that can compete with Apple and Huawei in China,” as quickly as this year.
Honor launches its initially phone following Huawei split: all the things to know
The Honor V40 5G could be a get started. The phone is jam-packed with higher-finish specs and attributes, and if history is something to go by, it could give the Galaxys and iPhones some run for their money—at even more cost-effective rates. The report does not say if the Honor V40 5G would be the initially phone to come with Google apps and services, but, at least, there’s hope for items to get superior in the days to come.
Huawei sold Honor to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology—a consortium of 30 of Honor’s agents and dealers—in November to aid it resume sourcing elements at present restricted by US sanctions. Honor, while it operated as an ‘independent’ sub-brand, relied on Huawei’s silicon and, even application to some extent, so it was hit as difficult, if not more, by the US restrictions. Within a brief period of time, given that inception, Honor had chalked up a diverse portfolio of competitive solutions ranging from phones to laptops and wise TVs.
Honor is but to make any solution announcement in other categories, aside from phones, following separating from Huawei.
