Los Angeles:
Five men and women, such as a policeman and a suspect, have been killed in a shooting incident in Wasco, a city in central California, nearby authorities mentioned Monday.
During a press conference Monday morning, Kern County sheriff’s workplace mentioned they received a report of shots fired at 1.00 pm Sunday (nearby time). When deputies arrived at the scene, the suspect opened fire at the law enforcement personnel, starting an hours-lengthy standoff.
Two hours later, Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) teams, who approached the property, have been attacked by the gunman. One policeman suffered big injuries and died in the hospital when a further deputy has been moderately injured.
At about 6.30 pm (nearby time), the suspect and deputies exchanged more gunfire and the suspect was wounded. The suspect and 3 other men and women, locked in the property for the duration of the time of the shooting, died following getting taken to a hospital for therapy.
Wasco is in the San Joaquin Valley, about 240 kilometers northwest of Los Angeles.
