Facebook To Let Content Creators Earn Money From Short Videos

Facebook Inc will enable content creators on its platform to earn income from brief-kind videos through ads, the social network stated on Thursday.

The announcement came in a weblog exactly where the corporation detailed its plans to aid creators make more revenue, as smaller sized tech rivals have been racing to attract popular social media personalities.

Snapchat owner Snap Inc has been paying $1 million per day to creators who make viral brief videos on its function known as Snapchat Spotlight. Twitter lately announced it would launch “Super Follows,” which would let customers charge followers for exclusive content.

Facebook stated creators can now earn ad income from videos as brief as one minute, down from 3 minutes previously.

It will also commence testing advertisements that look like stickers, which content creators can use in their Facebook Stories to earn revenue.

More creators can now qualify to earn ad income from live-streaming videos on Facebook, previously an invite-only system.

The social media giant stated it would also give away $7 million in totally free Facebook Stars, which customers can spend to creators on Facebook Live as a kind of tipping.
