BHOPAL: The forest division has arrested two accused in connection with leopard electrocution in Dindori below Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve on Wednesday.
Earlier a female leopard died due to electrocution on Tuesday. Forest division had deployed its group for investigation. The group arrested Kul Singh Kushram and Dasrath Pandram, each of Dadargaon village. Trap of electric wire was identified through search and investigation in the Karangia variety. However, leopard electrocution also exposed lacuna on portion of forest division and poachers took the benefit of the laxity of the division.
Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve director Vincent Rahim stated, “We had sent a team of doctors but we failed to save female leopard. Rescue team tried its best but could not save the leopard.”
